Result of Youth Meeting 18th October 2011

Youth amenities in our Parish. As decided in the VAQ, and set out in the Parish Plan, we have been holding a series of monthly meetings to progress this project further. We originally started with the aims as set out in the Parish Plan. These have over a recent period of time been slightly modified to suit considerable, well presented feed back from the youth of the parish, they have formed a vibrant, hard working and enthusiastic driving force pushing us older parishioners to achieve positive results. 
Our most recent meeting was held on the 18th October. A mixed attendance of enthusiastic and communicative parents. At the end of the meeting the council was pleased to hand the further advancement of the project to a pilot committee to be formed from all interested parties. Leadership has been undertaken by Darren Stephens (e-mail: d.g.stephens@btinternet.com) Anyone that feels they may be able to help please contact Darren to be put on the “e” list for mailings.
Darren will shortly be calling a meeting to start to make more definite plans. Initial finances should be covered by a small grant made by the Parish Council at our October meeting; this will be enough monies to cover basic’s such as room hire, postage etc. We must all wish the committee the very best of luck and look forward to hearing how their progress goes.
