Charity Barn Dance 2009

What a night! June 2008 at Lordship Farm saw some spectacular dancers and was an extremely successful Barn Dance. So.... although no one is doing the Three Peaks event this year, we thought we would organise another fun filled night – especially for those dancers who didn’t get enough last year!

Lord and Lady Carter have very kindly allowed us to use their barn again.

The Barn Dance 2009 will be held at Lordship Farm, Dane End on Saturday 18th July from 7pm until Midnight.

This is a ticket event which includes a live band with caller, licensed bar, hog roast and promise auction. All proceeds will go to Cancer Research UK.

Tickets are £16 each.

To buy, speak to Chris Campbell, Green End 01920 438994 or

Margaret Stanley 01920 830641

SPONSORED BIKE 'N' HIKE 2009
This year, this regular event in support of the Herts and Beds Historic Churches Trust will take place on Saturday 12th September. This is your
opportunity to get out your bikes or walking shoes and enjoy a day of exercise in our lovely countryside on a route of your own choosing and at your own pace, going from church to church. You are invited to
collect sponsors and raise a little money while having a good day out.
Alternatively, if you are not feeling energetic, then offers of help to sit in our churches and receive visitors would be welcomed - and you also can be sponsored! For further information and sponsorship forms
please contact Jeremy White on 01920 438575

This is your space!

If there is anything (within reason!) that you would like to advertise locally, just let me know and I will put it on the website for you, as soon as I can. Events such as Fundraising or Jumble Sales are ideal.

Doing a similar job is the forum at www.themundenssource.myfreeforum.org
This site is very good, amongst other things, for chatting and discussing views on local issues.
